During the project work we, Manuela, Doris and Maria, have been working on the topic "Being different". We have covered the themes "Rasta" and "Black is beautiful". At the end of our project we wrote a book about the origins of the Rastafarian Cult and its founder Marcus Garvey. Part of our work also covers the life of the Rastafarians, their pride in their "Dreadlocks" hairstyle, their unique philosophy and of course "Ganja". The Jamaican music, Raggae and its most important interpreter, Bob Marley, have also been included. In "Black is beautiful" we have illustrated and written about African life in general, the different rituals, African myths and culture. In this respect we have also included the issue of the fate of the slaves, the subsequent birth of the Blues, the Apartheid era and a biography of Nelson Mandela! |
