Association analysis allows you to create certain rules without having to specify a target variable. E.g. if A is the case, B will also be the case. Sequence analysis adds extensions to rules made by association analysis. They are time-related and could be as follows: If case A is the case, there is an 80% chance that B and subsequently C will also be the case.
